THE LIX is a band of two brothers who's inspiration of Classic Rock and Roll has led them to become one of the best young bands of the 21st century. Fourteen year old guitarist, Christian Lopez, and 9 year old drummer, Kennedy Lopez perform the songs of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Ted Nugent, ACDC, Peter Frampton, Deep Purple, Elvis, and many other leading artists and bands with the classic rock sound of the 60's,70's, & 80's. Christian, a 9th Grader at Martinsburg High School School & recipient of the 2007 Talent Show‘s Rising Star Award, has been studying music since the age of 5. He plays the piano, mandolin, guitar, and Harmonica. Kennedy, a 4th Grader at Orchard View Intermediate School, has been playing the drums since the age of 7. Bass Guitarist Alex Shanholtzer, 16 year old Junior at Hedgesville High School has been playing Bass Guitar with the band since February of 2008. Alex is an accomplished Bass player and is a member of the Hedgesville High School Jazz Band. THE LIX is the recipient of the 2008 Rising Star Award and 2009 1st place Band at the Apollo Civic Theater’s Annual talent Show. THE LIX recently recorded their first CD with 4 original songs written by the band. |
